I’m starting August with nine fountain pens inked up. That’s one more than I had at the start of July. Four of these nine pens weren’t inked when July began and a fifth has a different ink.
I have one complete new ink (at least to me) in two of the pens. I received Sailor Storia Balloon Green as part of a promotion when I bought the Sailor Pro Gear. It’s in my two Frnaklin-Christoph pens. As with any new ink I wanted a pen that would be easy to clean. Also, since each pen is a converter fill it was easy to give the pens a short load of ink. It’s a pigment based ink and green so I don’t expect to use the pens a lot, especially with the other pens I have inked. The stub nibs are different enough from the other inked pens that I’m likely to use them just for the variety while the different widths might give me a little variety in ink behavior.
So on the the pens and inks. As usual, the Esterbrook Dip-Less isn’t pictured, otherwise the samples are in the same order as in the photos. Links are to my review or first impressions article if it exists.
