This week’s favorite fountain pen and ink combination is my Pelikan M805 Stresemann with Montblanc Bordeaux. I had been skipping over this pen and ink more than I thought. It was inked back in mid-July and while used regularly it only short term each time. With other pens having been written dry this one is getting more use.

Transaction costs — Fountain Pen Economics // Another good article by Dr. Deans. Information certainly is more available today. As mentioned, Goulet Pens has a lot to do with it. While I’ve been using a fountain pen for over a dozen years, it wasn’t until I started reading and viewing the stuff Brian Goulet was doing that I really became addicted. Also, in case you miss it in the article, the Pennaquod search engine is a great source. There’s been a link at the bottom of every Sunday Notes and Links post for the past few months. Check it out.

Pen Review: Visconti Homo Sapiens Bronze Maxi — The Purl Bug (video) // This pen is recently back on my radar although the price is an obstacle. The video also raises a few potential issues so it’s more likely to be a in person purchase so I can try it out. Also, I might pick the Steel version over the Bronze although the tarnished bronze may take the edge off the gold and be very nice. But still, I want one.
